Built in 1926 and located in the heart of the Los Angeles Fashion District, The Textile Center Building was converted into 64 work/live lofts and 5000 sq ft. of retail space in 2005. Located around the corner from the Santee Village, the Textile Building shares the following ammenities; subterranean parking, gym, rooftop swimming pool, basketball courts, and putting green. This building is part of a wonderful community, a must see!
Originally developed by Florence C. Casler, a pioneering woman real estate developer and contractor. The Textile Building was designated a Historic Cultural Monument (No. 712) by the Los Angeles Cultural Heritage Commission. A wonderful example of the Gothic Revival Style, the building was approved for the Mill's Act, which means property owners qualify for an extensive reduction of property taxes.
